Children's Art Classes

Art Classes for Elementary and Middle School Students:

These classes will be art exploration in different media and styles. Students will experience and create two- and three-
dimensional art. The elements and principles of design, art history, art appreciation, and compositional skills will be
introduced and explored.

Elementary children's classes are for 1st grade through 5th grade.

Middle school classes are for 6th grade through 8th grade. These classes are scheduled as needed. Please contact the
art center if you have a middle school child that would like to take art classes; the class wll be scheduled when a
minimum class size of 6 students is reached.

Instructors:
Instructors are all practicing professional artists and experienced art teachers.

Elementary Children's Classes:

Instructors will be rotated for exposure to a variety of media.

Fall 2008 classes will be held on Tuesdays from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the art center. Dates for these classes are
October 14, 21, and 28 and November 4 and 11.

Spring 2009 classes will be held on January 26, February 3, 17, and 24, and March 3, 2009.

Cost for each 5 week session is $50 per child. Some scholarships are available, please contact Prairie Winds for
